Keeping Warm Casual Everyday

Hey lovelies, I'm such a huge fan of comfort, so of course when I put on something I try to make sure it's something I'm comfortable in. Who's with me? I haven't worn heels in a while and after shooting these pictures I realized how much I miss them. So, I'll definitely have a few holiday looks up soon hopefully if Ellie cooperates and let's me have a little down time. I recently went to a blogger event for the company Discovery Clothing which I'm a huge fan of for their on trend pieces at affordable prices. I got to choose a few items to style and above are some of the things I chose.

I picked up this pompom beanie because if you haven't noticed they are literally everywhere and super in right now. I chose black because I like neutral colors that'll go with a lot of things. Plus black!!! I then chose this Grey sweater which I'm seriously obsessed with, the quality is pretty great for a sweater under $20 #score. I kid you guys not you need it. Last, but not least I also chose the shoes I'm wearing and when I look back at them they were my least favorite pick, I don't hate them I just wish I got something else preferably booties. I'm still on the hunt for actual yeezy's, but not for the $$$$ price tag people are reselling them at, yikes. I tried to link most items or what's similar to them down below as not everything available in store is on their online site yet. On a side note I bought a few Levi's and I'll share my favorite styles soon. Plus, this bag is seriously my favorite thing ever it was one of the gifts my husband gave me on our Anniversary. I''m a tad Kate Spade obsessed.

Going back to Discovery Clothing I highly recommend checking their newly launched site and shopping here are some things I'm currently eyeing. This dress for the Holidays and or parties. This bomber jacket...OLIVE it. Really digging this denim jacket super nice for on the go with leggings and a pair of kicks. I have this skirt and I originally bought it from Windsor for $40 then returned it when I saw it here for only $16!! Also, this cardigan looks super cozy. These are the shoes I bought above just different color. These OTK boots are Stuart Weitzman dupes...hey!! I like these peep toe booties as well preferably in black, go figure.

Baby girl is waking up so I have to sign off right now. I hope you liked this post.
Much love, have a blessed day y'all.

Holiday Product Spotlight: JORD Wood Watches

Time is such a simple concept, yet we struggle with managing ourselves efficiently and always seem to be running out of "time"!  I, for one can attest to that sentiment with recently having a baby who is now almost two months. I can't get over how fast these almost two months have passed by, time sure does fly! As I'm writing this I've just put Ellie down for her nap and this is the first I've sat down all day! #MomLife. I try to schedule everything around baby E's sleep schedule, but I think parents can all agree that that just never works how we would like it to. So, of course when JORD reached out to me about a collaboration after having browsed their site and thinking of the upside of actually wearing a watch I had to oblige.

Now, for those tech savvy of us who say "why buy a men's or women's watch when you can just check your cell phone" well...for all those times you're unable to have your cell phone at hand. I, for one would rather look at a watch on my wrist during a meeting than to open my cell phone or for when you're holding a baby and can't reach to check the time (even if your baby is a Starbucks caramel macchiato). Honestly having a watch on is so handy and with JORD you're fashion forward doing so.

You see any person who personally knows me knows I'm not the most time efficient person (would love to blame it on being fashionably late...ehh but that's a lie). I will sit down for several minutes to work on something and become easily distracted or allow myself more time than I need yet still not complete the task at hand. I lose track of time and before I know it my day is practically over. However, now with the New Year just around the corner this is my first step in becoming better at managing my time and maintaining my goals. Realistically we all talk about not having enough time in our days rather than focusing on the 24 hours that we all have and using it wisely rather than wasting it and not fulfilling our wants, needs, and obligations. I truly believe a watch can help us become more efficient. Of course I still hold true to the fact that a watch is not only intended for telling time, but also a great fashion staple and can be used to showcase a persons style and personality which is a huge plus. I've compiled a holiday gift guide I'll be sharing soon and this was one of the items on there, I literally love it.

JORD is all about sustainability and handcraft. JORD's watches range from various forms of natural wood including bamboo, zebrawood, and sandalwood amongst others and so the choices are plenty and could work for everyone's taste from the minimalist to the extravagant. After browsing the various faces and woods I had to go with the zebrawood and champagne from the Frankie 35 series seeing as the neutrality of the watch will allow me to wear it whenever regardless of my day to day outfit choices. Everything about the watch from the unique face to even the minimalistic, yet stunning detail and variations of wood make this watch a perfect everyday accessory.

JORD was kind enough to even size the watch for me prior to shipping. They even leave you the extra links in case your measurements were off! Another amazing thing is they will engrave the watch of your choice with a personal message and what better way to be a remembrance to someone than with a thoughtful engraving. I had been looking a week prior to getting contacted at getting a men's wood watch for my husband and engraving it with our initials and wedding date as a gift. The reason I love this company is because they have a huge set of unique watches that are also unisex. So, if you're still on the hunt for a great gift whether it be for friend, family, or significant other you simply cannot go wrong with a cool watch. Out of curiosity, leave which watch you would choose in the comments below! Shop Pink Blush Collab & Maternity Pictures

I recently got contacted by Shop Blush Pink and I can't tell you how excited I was at the opportunity to work with such an amazing company. They not only carry beautiful maternity clothing, but regular and plus sizes as well. Do your wardrobe a favor and check them out, I'm OB-SESS-ED! I love the brand and I think both their regular and maternity clothing is so chic! I originally chose this maternity dress from their collection which I think if you're by any chance pregnant you should totally check out, it's a beauty. Sadly, it was sold out in my size, but no worries I figured I'd get something that I can wear even after my pregnancy that's a little more versatile hence why I chose this maternity skirt. I love that I can pair it with a simple shirt, a denim button up, or even a leather jacket. It honestly took forever and a day to choose one item because I liked so many...narrowing it down wasn't easy. Check out their site you'll see what I mean! I feel like I made the skirt look like a dress with the matching top which is awesome in my book.

The color of the skirt is mauve and I wasn't sure what to pair it with when I first ordered it, but when it came in I found that I had a shirt that matched it to a T. If you haven't guessed...I'm having a girl. I ended up going to this beautiful pumpkin patch in Indiana, it's literally become a tradition to go every year. I figured since I'm almost due I might as well get some maternity shots in: I was 38 weeks here. Ahhh I can't wait until we take our little nugget soon.

Below are some of the shots that I really loved from this mini shoot.

I'm in love with her cute face, I literally can't wait to meet her.

All credit is due to my little sister, aren't these photos beautiful. I'm super grateful because lord knows maternity, newborn, etc photography sessions are so expensive as is, hence why investing in a good camera was one of the best things I ever did.

That's why I love great quality items, they truly are stand out. The skirt is honestly so cute. I was pleasantly surprised with the material, it's definitely a quality piece that I can't wait to play around with in my wardrobe. I kinda want the skirt in all the other colors as well now hehe! It looks magical on and it flows beautifully. The color is rich and it's totally worth every penny might I add. I highly recommend you check out Shop Pink Blush especially right now... their Fall stuff is Ahhh-Maz-Ing! I really love this dress here. Not only that, but they even have a baby section if you're a momma to be, a mom already, or know someone having a baby you won't be disappointed! I'm in love, sigh, that is all.

Let me know your favorite thing about Fall this year below? My favorite thing is that I'm having my baby girl very soon and in my all time favorite season. My due date is literally within the next few days ahhh.

Prepping to be a Mom

Goodness where do I begin? I'm literally so overwhelmed with all the things I need to prepare for I honestly don't know where to start. Oh, I know where to start how about with how I didn't know I could take these magazine from my doctors office until I hit about 8 months. Why wasn't I informed I could take one and most importantly why was I too shy to ask. I find them extremely informative I just wish I had been getting some every Doctors visit I went, probably would've helped a lot. Also, I've started washing a lot of babies clothes because I'm not sure if you know or not, but most clothes have a chemical on them that keeps them stiff and nice looking in the store which isn't good for baby so wash them before you use them. Also, there are so many companies that give out free samples if you look around. Target is one of my favorites because they offer you an adorable bag filled with many different products you can try out. I'll take a picture of what they are and post it below. Also, seventh generation offers a lot of freebies as well in exchange for your review on them on their community page. I truly love their products especially the laundry detergent I've stocked up on quite a few for babies stuff because they're Eco friendly which I love. I can't wait for my baby to arrive it's so exciting and scary at the same time.

Fall 2016 Current Fashion Trends

I for one am all for trends, but most importantly ones that I know will be versatile. I love that you can mix a lot of these pieces as well as keep them for seasons to come if you pick them in classic colors and styles. My biggest tip when it comes to trends though is only buy pieces that are you in essence of taste because then you'll not only love them, but they'll compliment you.

Let me know down below what trends you're on board with? What do you already own from the above and what are you most excited about this Fall season?
