Lessons in Marriage: Anniversary Year In Recap

I can't believe it's almost been a year since I got married, boy does time fly or what. To top it off being pregnant really makes you realize how of the essence time truly is. I feel that I've learned so much within this past year and I still am constantly. I find my favorite lessons when it comes to marriage are the following

1.
Communicate: I can't expect my husband to know how I feel or why I'm upset or so forth without me explaining why or the other way around. Always talk about anything and everything!
2.
Listen: One can't be opposed to hearing the other out, if we just take time to listen to each other we'd have so many less problems, listen to understand. Be empathetic.
3.
Never raise your voice: I can't stress this enough, shouting never gets you anywhere neither does cursing let go of both. Talk in a just and patient manner. When one is fire, the other must be water.
4.
Forgive: there's so many things we are at fault of so why not hold ourselves accountable for our mistakes as well. We can't expect to be forgiven if we can't forgive others ourselves.
5.
Love: everyday be more loving and kind it makes the world a better place and your home as well.

I feel like these points are obvious, but even then that doesn't mean we all follow them as much as we should. All in all, try to start each day with a good heart and good thoughts because I truly believe you bring forth what you feel. Your world is filled with what you attract with your thoughts and actions. Think good and good things, will god willing come about. Remember no one has it easy, perfection is unattainable, and everyone struggles. It's truly what you make of a situation at the end of the day, make the best of everything.

Back to School: Style Accessory Must Haves

Back to School
I can't believe school is right around the corner! I feel like I was just taking A&PII yesterday, ugh thank god that class is over with. In honor of school being around the corner I've compiled a few style favorites for Back to School that'll cheer you up even on the laziest days. I love this bag, Adidas is killing it with style lately! I love an inspirational or fun phone cover to look at when I don't feel so up to doing things so this to me says every step is a bit closer to your goal. Now, let's talk writing utensils, what would Blair Waldorf do is so comical, but surely a good question when your in a tough spot. Also, I've become a huge fanatic of monograms and all things initials, put your water, green tea, or whatever drink you like and stay hydrated with this adorable tumbler with your initial on it. I found this etsy page that customizes a lot of things and one of them is agendas and OMG! I love fashion and coffee so of course this chic mess would write in that planner. I don't think you need this Fuji instax camera, but I love photography and think this would be nice for days you want to remember. Last, but certainly not least is this monogram folder because you need to stay organized and focused and this would be lovely to carry around!
