Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe #MakeItYours

I recently got Reynolds (no not Ryan) baking sheets from the Twinkle Vox Box from Influenster which also included a Country Crock coupon for butter so I figured why not bake some cookies? So, that's exactly what I did. I'm looking for the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, I had one I used to make and can't remember it for the life of me, but everyone loved it. I'm trying out different recipes until I find the perfect one. Today, I used this recipe from TastesBetterFromScratch.  Check out her site for more recipes.

  1. 2 cups plus 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  2. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  3. 1/2 tsp salt
  4. 12 Tbsp butter (1 1/2 sticks) melted and cooled until warm
  5. 1 cup brown sugar
  6. 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  7. 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  8. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  9. 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
I loved these Reynolds baking sheets the cookies came right off without being a pain and sticking; makes cleaning so much easier.

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. In a medium bowl mix together flour, salt, and baking soda..
  3. In a separate large mixing bowl beat the butter and sugars together with an electric mixer until well blended. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Stir in the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently stir in the chocolate chips. The dough will be soft.
  4. Gently scoop dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Store in an airtight container.

I made these for work for my husband and so I didn't take an after picture, but I will when I make them again as I don't like forming an opinion on a recipe or anything until I've at least tried it twice. Let me know if you try this and your thoughts on the recipe or share your chocolate chip cookie recipe below?! I'm thinking of adding crushed pretzels next time and making the recipe more me. What would you add to make it you? Hope you have a sweet week.
